Dr. Manly Hutchinson has been in the active practice of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Columbia, SC for over 30 years.. He has stayed abreast of the technological advances in this specialty, particularly in the field of Gynecology where he was one of the pioneers in endoscopic surgery. Currently offering the latest minimally invasive techniques, he regularly performs laparoscopic supracervical and total laparoscopic hysterectomy, pelvic floor reconstruction including mesh procedures and incontinence relief.
In addition, he has kept abreast in the area of menopause management and offers a broad range of treatment options including estrogen and testosterone pellets.
Four years ago he became interested in the field of aesthetic medicine. Three Rivers Skin Care Center was begun at that time, and has progressed to a full service aesthetic center, offering most of the popular procedures.
His most recent interest is in the area of body sculpting and fat removal which is facilitated by a relatively new technique called laser assisted liposuction (lipolysis). He received his training in this field under the direction of Dr. Marco Pelosi, at his training center in Bayonne, New Jersey.
He currently offers a wide range of procedures to remove stubborn fat deposits in an office based surgicenter adjacent to Baptist Medical Center in downtown Columbia. Safety and superior results in the context of minimally invasive techniques under local anesthesia and oral sedation is our goal.
Autologous fat transfer is another technique being performed as a logical extension of liposuction and is being offered to fill in static wrinkles in the face and other areas. This is done in conjuction with the fat removal procedures. This is likely to replace the use of conventional fillers.
More traditional aesthetic services are also offered including Botox and conventional fillers, also laser procedures for the removal of unwanted hair , sun damaged skin and superfiscial veins and wrinkles. All non-invasive laser treatments are performed on site by our aesthetician, Angela Heaton.
